The muddlarks® range of children’s waterproofs is a generous cut, for freedom of movement. All muddlarks® garments have been designed to accommodate warm layers to be worn underneath.

Body Measurements

The below chart dimensions are indicative of average body measurements only. To choose the best fit, select the size based on the child’s height. If the child is approaching the upper limit of the height for an age, order the next size up. However, if you are unable to measure the child, we do recommend you order the size for the child’s age (example: 1-2yrs = size 1).

Garment Measurements

The below charts are based on approximate garment measurements. These charts allow you to make a more informed decision as to the correct fit for your child, as children come in all shapes and sizes. Measurements are for shell & lined styles so please note that lined garments will have less room for extra layers.

Hat sizing

Children’s head sizes vary enormously, to find the right size simply measure the head around the widest part across the forehead and choose the correct hat size from the table below. (chart is based on approximate garment measurement)
